Glazed Ham with Cloved Apricots:
Ingredients:
450g can Plumrose Leg Ham removed from can and jelly discarded
1 small can apricot halves, drained and juice reserved
8-10 cloves
¼ cup pecan nuts
Glaze:
½ cup reserved apricot juice
Juice of ½ lemon
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon sherry
Method:
Using a sharp knife, score the Plumrose Leg Ham in a diamond pattern. Decorate top of ham with apricot halves, cloves and pecan nuts.
Place ham into a baking dish and spoon over the combined ingredients. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-30 minutes, spooning the glaze over the ham once or twice during cooking.
SERVES: 4-6
PREPARATION TIME: 10 minutes
COOKING TIME: 30 minutes
TIP: Serve the ham hot or cold and cut into slices. Any extra pan juices can be served as a sauce.
